Where It All Began
Feathered Roots started with a question that wouldn't go away: Why does wearing something you believe in have to cost the earth?
The fashion industry is one of the most polluting on the planet. Overproduction, synthetic fabrics, toxic dyes, mountains of unsold inventory rotting in landfills. We looked at all of that and decided we weren't going to participate. Not like that.
So we built something different. Every Feathered Roots product is made from certified organic cotton — no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, no GMOs. Every design is printed with water-based inks that don't poison waterways. And nothing is made until someone actually orders it. Zero waste. Zero overproduction. Zero excuses.
The name comes from the two things that matter most to us: roots that keep us grounded in what's real, and feathers that remind us we can always rise. The tree of life runs through everything we make — a symbol of connection, growth, and the understanding that everything is part of the same circle.

In Celtic tradition, the tree of life represents the interconnection of all living things. The roots mirror the branches. The earth mirrors the sky. Nothing exists in isolation. That's the world we want to build — one thread, one garment, one conscious choice at a time.
The ravens in our designs are messengers — symbols of transformation, intelligence, and the courage to see things as they really are. They perch in the branches of the tree because that's where wisdom lives: at the intersection of earth and sky.

Return & Recycle
When your Feathered Roots piece has lived its life, send it back. Through Teemill's circular system, worn-out garments are broken down and remade into new products.
